{California Wedding : part 2 : “D-Day”}

Two posts in one day? Yes folks, it has come to this!  I feel like I am so behind, and the week has barely even started!! Thankfully, I know it will all get done, God is always sovereign.

We called it “D-Day” because my cousin’s name is Kari Dee (after my aunt : her mom) Thus, (kari) D-day. Hopefully that made sense, my mom came up with that little zinger on her own while we were up in CA (late nights bring out the best in everybody 😉

All week we had been freaking out!  There had been severe winds, a few hail storms, and many rainy days and nights!  But, the day turned out BRILLIANTLY!!  Not a cloud in the sky, not too hot, with the tiniest breeze.  There really was nothing better we could have asked for!!

Their story is quite adorable.  Both of their families are motorcycle racers, and on one very special night, for some motorcycle event, aboard the Queen Mary, their eyes locked across a crowded room.  She gave him her number, he called her every day after.  He lived in England, she lived in California, long distance relationships are never fun… but they made it! Now, without further ado (I’m sure you’re just aching to see these pix by now!!)

I wouldn’t call myself a total material girl. But… judging by the way I freaked out over these shoes…  (well… I pretty much fall in love with… any radical shoe 😉 I think that side of me definitely kicked into full-drive!!
