This family was such fun to shoot and oh so cooperative (always a favorite “shoot quality” of mine).  Everyone was in great spirits and were all so flexible to trying new poses or positionings.  Thank you all for being such a great family!  I enjoyed every minute of shooting you (although shooting someone never sounds nice, I mean it in the kindest way

I hope you all had a safe, happy, and Merry Merry Christmas!  My family decided to do a low key Christmas this year, and I would have disputed it had I been a bit younger.  But man, life is crazy and hectic and fast.  Sometimes it’s good to just take a breather (and stay in your pj’s all day .  Twas a fantastic day, and I am SO beyond grateful for all of the blessings, big and small, that God has graced my life with.  To Him be all the glory and may we all reflect on the true meaning of this joyous season.

Hello all!  I hope this post finds you well rested from Thanksgiving, ready for the weekend, and full from eating WAAAY too much (yea, that’s the understatement of the century!).  Anyways, it’s back to business, and I am so thankful for work, school, and shoots to keep me busy.

I recently shot the Beck family, whom I’ve known for about a bazillion years it seems.  They were a joy to shoot and I was so thankful for the opportunity.  My, how these kids have grown, and Mrs. B, you just get more and more stunning by the day.  Love and blessings this holiday season.

Maris | the beautiful (and talented!) :AZ Headshot Photography:

I was recently blessed with being able to photograph Maris, the most recent “Elle Woods” (YES folks, you heard right!)  Of Broadway Palm’s Legally Blonde.  She was such a joy and I couldn’t believe how much my camera loved her!  It took simply no effort at all to capture her quirky, cute, fun personality.  My mom and I also recently saw her last show, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee.  WHAT an amazing experience (we spent most of the show in hysterics)!  Since we had only seen the ready-for-headshots Maris, it was fun to witness her amazing theatrical side.  And just let me say… this girl has skill!  Legally Blonde will no doubt blow my socks off!  F.Y.I, it runs Oct. 6th – Nov. 12th at Broadway Palms in Mesa (hint hint).  Break a leg Maris, we’re your new biggest fans!

I got to shoot these lovely ladies on a beautiful Sunday in the “country”, well. . .in the city  This was honestly one of my FAVORITE locations.  A red barn, rusty metal everywhere, big tires, beautiful trees, and a chicken coop – what more could I ask for?  We had so much fun traipsing around and tryin’ out a billion poses!  The hearts behind these faces are even prettier I can tell ya.  Thanks girls for being willing to “act out” my crazy ideas & making it look so easy.  Love you girls!  Savanna <3

Ok, I won’t leave you totally photo-less.  Here’s one of my recent favorites.  This is my awesome/beautiful/fantastic/crazy/fun/cool friend Taylor, and the prop?  Oh ya, my sister’s snake {aka, my newest roommate, Ace.}  Taylor has no fear, I on the other hand was backing away every time he moved.  But, I LOVE the way this turned out.

I’ve got two words to describe the beautiful Kate (. . .besides beautiful  Cute n’ Sassy.  This lovely lady has got talent like you wouldn’t believe, and class to match it.  Through the whole session, she was so poised and elegant, but she also wasn’t afraid to flash those pearly whites and let loose.  Kate, you were such a joy to photograph (by the way, I hope your entire wardrobe is purple, because it looks FANTASTIC on you!!!)

Katrin {AZ Headshots}

Oh my goodness, where do I even begin.  Well, for starters, just go ahead and look at Katrin’s (Kate-rin) eyes!  Holy goodness gracious.  These eyes killed me.  I’ve said that I like blue eyes SO many times, but I am DEFINITELY turning to the green side.

They say that the eyes are the window to the soul, and what a sweet one Katrin has.  This lovely lady is studying at ASU and recently starred in Tempe Little Theatre’s production of Grey Gardens (Shiloh played the role of Jackie Bouvier, better known as, Jackie Kennedy.  She was..fantastic!  Of course  Katrin is beautiful and talented (you should hear this girls voice!!!)  she is so fresh and energetic, I simply loved working with her!  Ok, I could go on and on, but I shall stop and let you look at zee pictures.

Shiloh and Zoe {Just.For.Fun | AZ shoots}

It’s been quite some time since you’ve seen my little sister’s beautiful face, but recently I had the perfect excuse to put it up on my blog again  Zoe and Shiloh met while doing Tempe Live Theatre’s Grey Gardens, Shiloh played the role of Jackie Bouvier (Kennedy) and Zoe her younger sister, Lee (Radziwill).  They had such a great time, and after one of the matinee performances, we had a little fun.  If you have never been to the Tempe Center for the Performing Arts, go there.  It’s gorgeous, and perfect for just a little walk around.  The sky was marvelous, and SUPER blue, this shoot was so much fun and, the models were pretty fantastic, to say the least.

Since I missed Easter, I hope everyone’s was wonderful.

I recently had the joy of shooting Dawn and her adorable girlies, miss Cate and Abby.  We had so much fun!  It was giggles, smiles, and fun all day.  I SO enjoyed capturing their personalities and little moments, of which there were many!  I also must comment on these little cuties eyes.  Abby’s eyes were… stunning!  I could not get over how blue.blue.blue they were, and talk about big and bright!  Adorable!!!  Now I never actually realized just how much I loved brown eyes, until I photographed Cate.  They were so rich and sparkly, full of child-like wonder and innocence.  Dawn, your family is truly beautiful.  Thanks for havin’ fun with me and being such an amazing mom to your precious girls.
